Frederik Hendriksen har skrevet et brev til Max Levy, der introducerer og anbefaler J.F. Willumsen som kunstner. Det er meningen, at Willumsen skal tage introduktionsbrevet med sig til Amerika og give det personligt til Max Levy i Philadelphia.

Allow me to introduce, bearer of this, the Danish Artist
      Mr. J. F. Willumsen
who – I am sorry to say – leaves our Country in order to settle down in America. He is a highly gifted modern Artist, Painter, Sculptor and a man who has shown great abilities i nearly all kind of decorative Arts. If you can give him a help in order to bring him in connection with people who might be able to use his talents, I hope you will do so – Take my compliments to Mrs Levy. Hoping you are well
